Fast and cost effective delivery of your order is important to us
The following information will give you a guide as to our delivery procedures:
How Fast Are We?
As soon as we receive your order it will be processed. As soon as payment is confirmed we will ship your Adventure Certificates or Gift Vouchers to you using one of our delivery services.
We check orders regularly during the day and night, and we are notified as soon as your order is placed.
Orders placed on Saturdays or Sundays may be processed on these days but are generally processed first thing Monday morning.
How Much Does it Cost?
Postage charges, if applicable, are calculated at the checkout stage of the purchase and will be displayed to you before you send your order. While we make every effort within reason to ensure that this calculation is accurate, under certain circumstances, the postage cost may not cover the actual delivery costs.
Under these circumstances we reserve the right to not proceed with the order. Instead we will contact you and inform you of the actual cost and give you the option of proceeding with the revised delivery charges, or cancelling your order. Hamper Delivery and Shipping
Australia Post or Fastway Couriers will deliver to you. Most orders are dispatched within two working days. If you have ordered on a Thursday night, the order will be packed on Monday. This ensures that your order will remain fresh and make it to its destination with as little transit time as necessary. If there are perishable items such as cheese, or Hampers containing fresh foods, they are dispatched on Mondays and Tuesday to ensure they arrive before the weekend. Fresh products are packed in specially designed ice-boxes, and kept cool with frozen gel packs. There are no delivery options available for Saturday or Sunday. We can ship to Post Office Boxes.
The estimated delivery times for Fastway Couriers are: Melbourne/Victoria: Next Day, ACT: 2 to 3 working days (Mon to Fri) NSW: 2 to 3 working days, SA: 2 to 3 working days, TAS: 3 to 5 working days, Qld: 5 working days, Far North Qld (Cairns, Mackay): 7 working days, NT: 10 working days, WA: 7 to 8 working days.
Our couriers do not guarantee a delivery date or time, though we can track on-line the delivery progress of your order after it has left us.
All deliveries require a signature to acknowledge receipt; so we highly recommend your delivery be to a work address. If that is not possible, and if no one is available when delivery is attempted, the parcel will be "carded" to your local Post Office or to the nearest Fastway branch.
Hospital Deliveries
If you choose delivery to a hospital:
Be certain that recipient will still be in hospital on the day that delivery is to be made
If there is a chance that the recipient will be discharged from hospital we recommend that you request delivery to there home.
If the recipient is discharged on the scheduled day for delivery a re-direction fee to her home may be charged to you.
Please do not address the order to a baby, instead please ensure to provide us with the mother's full name, room number, and ward and level (if applicable).
Christmas orders and deliveries
Whilst BigThanks will do everything within it's power to ensure your gifts arrive at their destination on time, please be aware that delivery times may take longer to reach their destination due to added pressures placed upon Australia Post and other organisations we use to deliver your gifts. With this in mind please place your orders at least 7 working days prior to your intended delivery date to ensure the best chances of your order arriving on time.
During these peak times BigThanks cannot guarantee your gift will arrive on your date specified. However we will do everything within our power to make sure your gift arrives as close to your chosen date as possible.
