Abseiling Bluff Knoll Weekend Trip

DURATION: Depart Friday and return Sunday. Dates to be confirmed on demand for a minimum number of 6 people.

VALID FOR: 1 person. There is a minimum number of 6 people per trip and a maximum of 16 people.

RESTRICTIONS: The Stirling Ranges are subject to rapid changes in weather at any time of the year. Conditions may include localised strong winds, extreme cold and heavy rain. Participants must be prepared for bad weather.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

You will be provided with:

  • Bunkhouse accommodation
  • Experienced instructors (high instructor to participant ratio of 1:8 ensures the safety and quality of your experience)
  • Transport ex-Perth and return
  • All safety and specialised equipment (helmet, harness, ropes and abseiling hardware)
  • Comprehensive first aid kits
  • Meals from breakfast on Saturday to lunch on Sunday

  • Peak cap and beanie (conditions can vary enormously)
  • Shell garments - a good rain jacket is essential - proofed nylon, dry Japara or Gore-Tex, and over pants if you have them during winter
  • Sunglasses, sunscreen
  • Day pack - you will need to carry spare clothing, food, water, personal and some group abseiling equipment
  • 2 litre water bottle
  • Camera - a must!
  • Footwear - well broken-in boots or runners in good condition
  • Rubber band to tie back long hair
  • Should you depend on glasses or contact lenses for comfort and survival, it is strongly recommend you bring a second pair. It is also recommend you use a retainer strap for all glasses and sunglasses.
