DESCRIPTION: This is where abseiling culminates, with a 280-metre multi-pitch descent! Two days in the South West participating in a challenging activity that is totally different to the normal abseil!
VENUE: Bluff Knoll is the highest location in the South-West of WA, forming part of the Stirling Ranges. The range is approximately 80 km north of Albany and 350 km south east of Perth.
DURATION: Depart Friday and return Sunday. Dates to be confirmed on demand for a minimum number of 6 people.
VALID FOR: 1 person. There is a minimum number of 6 people per trip and a maximum of 16 people.
RESTRICTIONS: The Stirling Ranges are subject to rapid changes in weather at any time of the year. Conditions may include localised strong winds, extreme cold and heavy rain. Participants must be prepared for bad weather.

You will be provided with:
- Bunkhouse accommodation
- Experienced instructors (high instructor to participant ratio of 1:8 ensures the safety and quality of your experience)
- Transport ex-Perth and return
- All safety and specialised equipment (helmet, harness, ropes and abseiling hardware)
- Comprehensive first aid kits
- Meals from breakfast on Saturday to lunch on Sunday
- Public Liability Insurance ($10 million)
It is suggested you bring:
- Sleeping bag
- Warm clothing. Whatever you bring must have insulating qualities when wet. Thermal underwear, fleece or wool is best. (Two or three thin layers rather than one thick layer. The instructors take a limited supply of spare thermals)
- Loose-fitting long pants, definitely not jeans
- Peak cap and beanie (conditions can vary enormously)
- Shell garments - a good rain jacket is essential - proofed nylon, dry Japara or Gore-Tex, and over pants if you have them during winter
- Sunglasses, sunscreen
- Day pack - you will need to carry spare clothing, food, water, personal and some group abseiling equipment
- 2 litre water bottle
- Camera - a must!
- Footwear - well broken-in boots or runners in good condition
- Rubber band to tie back long hair
- Should you depend on glasses or contact lenses for comfort and survival, it is strongly recommend you bring a second pair. It is also recommend you use a retainer strap for all glasses and sunglasses.
