DESCRIPTION: This one-day abseiling program suits both the novice and experienced abseiler.
The day has been designed to allow you as many descents as possible with the additional opportunity to try some rock climbing.
The focus is on developing good roping techniques, safe practices and a high level personal confidence to take on all challenges, but most of all to have fun!
PRICE: $100 per person (including GST).
VENUE: Boya (Mountain Quarry) or Gooseberry Hill (Statham's Quarry).
Both about 20-30 minutes drive from Perth.
DURATION:
1st Apr – 31st Oct: 8am – 4:30pm
1st Nov – 31st Mar: 7am – 3:30pm
Start and finish times can be flexible for private group abseils.
Current listed dates are: 6/09/08, 21/09/08, 4/10/08, 19/10/08, 8/11/08, 23/11/08 and 14/12/08. These times are subject to change and must be confirmed prior to attendance.
VALID FOR: 1 person.
This course requires a minimum of 6 participants for a private abseil.

Transport for instructors and equipment and emergency response should it be necessary.
It is suggested you bring:

Packed lunch, snacks and at least 2 litres of water

Day pack for personal gear

Hat, sunscreen and insect repellent

Rubber band to tie back long hair

Clothing should be comfortable and appropriate for current weather conditions. Please note that the torso needs to be fully covered with a top (t-shirt/shirt) that can be tucked securely into trousers (bare midriffs not safe due to risk of rope burn).

A retainer strap for all glasses and sunglasses. Should you depend on glasses or contact lenses for comfort or survival we strongly advise bringing a second pair.
