DESCRIPTION: Think you know about Fremantle? Think again! Come along and learn about the people who helped shaped the port city, how Fremantle (Freo) came to be and why it has its distinctive feel.
The team will share tales about people that you have probably heard of, but no nothing about and also some of the greatest and funniest jailbreaks in history. Starting at Western Australia’s oldest building, The Roundhouse, this tour takes a different route through Freo on the way to the cappuccino strip. Don't forget to come down to the Roundhouse a bit early for breakfast at the Tramway Cafe and receive 20% off your bill!
VENUE: Start Point: The Roundhouse, and ends at The Cappuccino Strip Fremantle
DURATION: Approximately 2 hrs starting at 10.00am
VALID FOR: 1 person
RESTRICTIONS: Tour Runs on Saturday and Sunday only.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Do I need to be fit? Only a very basic level of fitness is required, and the whole walk is at an easy pace over very flat land. What should I wear? Some comfy shoes are a very good start. Also be sure to bring a bottle of water and your camera! Whatever you feel comfortable in, that is what you should wear, but if you want to go out after the tour, some venues will not let you in with just thongs. What happens in bad weather? We are lucky to say that Perth/Fremantle must be one of the sunniest cities on earth, which works out very well for walking tours! But in the event of bad weather, well, you just can throw on a raincoat or bring a brolly, because we will still be walking. Will there be any breaks in the walk? Tours have regular stops for storytelling and there will be opportunities to take some pictures along the way.
