DESCRIPTION: Are you up for a new challenge in life? This course is designed as a taster to sailing, to get you out on the water as quickly as possible under the close supervision of our qualified instructors.
This introduction to sailing lesson is approximately 4 hrs (taught in two 2 hour sessions) and allows you to come down and learn the basics out on the water.
During this course, you will be taught the following skills;
• Steering and crewing in light winds under supervision
• Sail a reaching course in light winds
• Basic boat controls and heave-to
• Basic Capsize recovery drill
As this is an introduction course, there is no experience necessary! Simply bring your sense of adventure and willingness to learn and you are guaranteed a fun time out on the water.
VENUE: The Esplanade, Balmoral Beach, Sydney.
DURATION: 4 Hours (Taught in two 2 hour sessions).
VALID FOR: 1 Person.
RESTRICTIONS: Advanced bookings required.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Items to bring: Long sleeve T-shirt / Rash Vest, hat, eye protection/sunglasses, warm jumper, water bottle, towel. All equipment & buoyancy aids are provided. Wetsuits are also available if needed.
