Get the Best Out of Your 4WD Course

DESCRIPTION: Learn the Art of Intelligent Four Wheel Driving, not the hype, by joining our passionate and enthusiastic Instructors as they provide you with the ‘know how’ to get the best out of your four wheel drive vehicle. This one day course provides you with the skills and knowledge that are needed to successfully drive your vehicle in off highway conditions. The course is presented in a ‘hands on’ format with a focus on driver participation.

Skills such as obstacle assessment, vehicle geometric limitations, wheel placement and throttle control are developed whilst you drive in a variety of conditions and terrain types. Your 4WD Familiarisation experience starts by exploring your 4WD vehicle and gaining knowledge about its systems and their correct use. Moving behind the wheel, you cover driving techniques that include stall recovery techniques, ascents and descents, ruts, gullies and ditches, rocks, sand and water crossings. Lots of time behind the wheel is guaranteed and our small group size allows plenty of 1:1 time with our highly qualified and experienced Instructors. We have both male and female Instructors, with more than 90 years of combined off road experience just between our principle Instructors alone!

Our purpose built 4WD training venue is conveniently located near Mittagong and is easily accessed from the Sydney, Wollongong and Canberra metropolitan areas. The course is fully catered, with superior morning teas and lunches offering a wide variety for all dietary preferences. We are famous for our healthy and delicious food!

Participants will need to provide their own registered and roadworthy 4WD vehicle for the course. We supply all required equipment and course resources. All makes and models of high clearance 4WD vehicles can be used on the course and course content is tailored to your vehicle.

The course runs at regular intervals throughout the year and bookings are essential for the day. So join us for an educational, informative, ‘hands on’ and fun experience.
