DESCRIPTION: Combine the treasure of nature with the treasure of the earth in this fly/drive day tour from Kununurra.
From Kununurra, we fly to the Argyle Diamond Mine. Enjoy a 3.5 - 4 hour guided ground tour of the Argyle Diamond Mine located at the traditional Gija/Mirriwung Barramundi (Daiwul) Dreaming site at Barramundi Gap, which sits directly on the Argyle Kimberlite pipe on the eastern end of the southern Blatchford Escarpment.
Your guided tour commences with a welcome before we visit the Argyle Village gift shop and enjoy a tasty and generous buffet lunch at the Staff Village.
We continue with a drive through the processing plant, observing the mine’s open cut pit operations from a well-positioned viewing platform incorporating a new Interpretive Cultural Display, where your guides relate the story of the Barramundi Dreaming before we view the diamond and local history display room.
Reboard your aeroplane and continue on to the Bungle Bungle. We give you the best views of this ancient formation comprising deep gorges & the famous "beehive domes” in the 20 minutes we spend over the massif. This scenic flight also offers views of the Diversion Dam, Lake Kununurra, Ord Irrigation Area, 20 minutes over majestic Lake Argyle & the bordering Carr Boyd Range before landing in Kununurra.

RESTRICTIONS: Children under 12 years of age are not permitted at Argyle Diamond Mine. Children aged 12 - 18 years must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
