DESCRIPTION:See the Sunshine Coast from Caboolture in a glider with this truly breathtaking flight. Experience the thrill of silent flight, soaring like an eagle, and if lucky, you can even spot one.
We will commence this fantastic flight cruising north past Mt Beerwah amidst the fabulous extinct volcanic region of the Glasshouse Mountains. We then climb over the Blackall Range with views of Melany, Lake Baroon and Montville on route to Mt Cooroy where the engine will be shut down and you will begin a silent glide towards Noosa Heads. The view of Noosa is spectacular.
The engine will be restarted at Noosa for your cruise along the surf beaches of the Sunshine Coast down to Moffat Head Caloundra, along the Pumicestone Passage between Bribie Island and the mainland and glide back to Caboolture airfield.
On the day, you will be gliding with a senior gliding instructor who will demonstrate to you how to fly these sophisticated gliders. It is then your turn to take the controls and enjoy the rewarding experience of flying like a bird. This is an experience you will never forget!
VENUE: Departs from Caboolture Airfield, only 40 minutes North of Brisbane.
DURATION: 2 Hours.
VALID FOR: 1 person.
RESTRICTIONS: Bookings essential. The maximum passenger weight is 110kg.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: In the event of adverse weather conditions, your flight may be cancelled and rescheduled for another day.
