DESCRIPTION: Experience the thrill of silent flight, soaring like an eagle, and if lucky, you can even spot one. Enjoy a touring glider flight from Caboolture Airfield in Brisbane, flying over the spectacular sights of Bribie Island, Moreton Bay, and the magnificent Tangalooma Wrecks and Wild Dolphin Resort, just to name a few!
Departing from Caboolture Airfield you will cruise out to Bribie Island with views up the Pumicestone Passage, Pacific Harbour while on climb to 3,500 out over Moreton Bay. Here we will shut down the engine for the most memorable glide over water to the magnificent Tangalooma Wrecks and Wild Dolphin Resort.
We will cruise over to Cape Moreton and onto the spectacular Spitfire Channel while preparing for a glide back to the Caboolture Airfield while taking in views out to the Glasshouse Mounitains.
If you are lucky, you may even get the chance to see some whales! We regularly see whales off Cape Moreton. A fantastic spectacle seeing these amazing creatures from the air as they breach and play. Season June - Oct.
On the day, you will be gliding with a senior gliding instructor who will demonstrate to you how to fly these sophisticated gliders. It is then your turn to take the controls and enjoy the rewarding experience of flying like a bird. This is an experience you will never forget!
VENUE: Departs from Caboolture Airfield, only 40 minutes North of Brisbane.
DURATION: 1 Hour 15 Minutes.
VALID FOR: 1 person.
RESTRICTIONS: Bookings essential. The maximum passenger weight is 110kg.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: In the event of adverse weather conditions, your flight may be cancelled and rescheduled for another day.
