DESCRIPTION:Experience the thrill of silent flight, soaring like an eagle, and if lucky, you can even spot one. Enjoy a touring glider flight from Caboolture Airfield in Brisbane, flying over the spectacular Glasshouse Mountains and Maleny Range.
Departing from Caboolture Airfield you will cruise out to Mt Beerwah, around Crookneck and Mt Tibrogargan in the fabulous Glasshouse Mountains. You will then climb over Cairncross Park on the edge of the Blackall Range, out over Maleny and Lake Baroon in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland.
Here the engine will be shut down and you will then begin the magic experience of gliding while taking in magnificent views of the Sunshine Coast down to Caloundra, the Pumicestone Passage, Bribie Island and out to Moreton Island in Moreton Bay.
On the day, you will be gliding with a senior gliding instructor who will demonstrate to you how to fly these sophisticated gliders. It is then your turn to take the controls and enjoy the rewarding experience of flying like a bird. This is an experience you will never forget!
VENUE: Departs from Caboolture Airfield, only 40 minutes North of Brisbane.
DURATION: 1 Hour.
VALID FOR: 1 person.
RESTRICTIONS: Bookings essential. The maximum passenger weight is 110kg.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: In the event of adverse weather conditions, your flight may be cancelled and rescheduled for another day.
