DESCRIPTION: Learn how to dive, discovering and interacting with the amazing diversity of marine life to be found in the underwater world. Successful completion of the PADI Open Water Scuba Diving Course qualifies you to dive independently to a depth of 18 meters in open water and is internationally recognised!
This is the only 2-day open water scuba diving course available on the Mornington Peninsula. The 2 day course involves developing in-water skills through 2 pool sessions and 4 open water dives, your first step into the Underwater World! Prior to commencing the course, you will be able to take advantage of the PADI E-Learning Facility to complete the necessary theory and learning before commencing the course.
Confined water dives are conducted in the heated on site dive training pool under the direct supervision of your professionally qualified PADI Instructor. This enables skill development and safe diving procedures to become second nature in a controlled environment. You will complete four open water dives, including one boat dive. This exciting stage of the course provides a perfect opportunity for you, under direct supervision of your dive instructor, to complete skills learnt in the training pool environment and to adapt them to an open water scenario.
The course takes 2 days and runs as follows
■ Day 1: Pool Session and 2 Open Water Dives
■ Day 2: Pool Session and 2 Open Water Dives
VENUE: 3755 Pt Nepean Rd, Portsea, Victoria. Approximately a 1.5 hour drive from Melbourne CBD.
DURATION: 2 day course (Accommodation Not Included). Starts at 8.15am and ends at 6pm on both days.
VALID FOR: 1 Child (Under 15 years of age)
RESTRICTIONS: Bookings Essential. Certain pre-requisites and information are required to complete this course (see below).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Pre Requisites;
- A dive medical completed by a doctor needs to be completed prior to commencing the course
- 2 passport photos (available at chemists/photo shops)
- Certificate of Completion of the PADI E-learning Theory Training
