This is the perfect present for every pet owner. Suitable for all occasions – Christmas, birthdays, engagements, weddings, Mothers and Fathers Day ... or simply ‘just because’.
How to Commission a Portrait
1) Contact the artist and provide them with your BigThanks Certificate number. Provide them with your portrait size as listed on your certificate, your contact details and a little information about your pet. When they get back to you, email them at least 2 photos (preferably more) of your pet (or pets). Your photos should be clear, not too far away and with good face detail. You can email high resolution photographs at 300dpi or post your photos which they will scan and return to you. Remember, the clearer the photographs, the better your portrait will be.
2) The artist will confirm your commission by email. If you choose to proceed, we discuss your pet and the portrait in detail, (pet's name, breed and age, personality traits, colours and distinguishing features, favourite toys etc.) We discuss the format, style and mood of your painting, the canvas style you prefer (if you wish to frame your portrait). It takes a little patience on your part as an oil portrait can take up to 12 weeks to complete.
These portraits are painted on gallery style canvas, unless requested otherwise — a look that’s contemporary, clean and simple. If you require framing please discuss this with the artist during your initial contact.
Venue: Studios are located in Sydney, however paintings can be sent interstate or internationally if required
Duration: Please note an oil painting can take up to 4 months to complete

Additional Information: These contemporary animal portraits don’t require framing. They are normally painted on gallery wrapped canvas (38mm deep sides) unless requested otherwise.
These prices include one pet with a simple background (the best way to focus on your pet), but the artist can discuss any special requests you have (there may be additional charges deliverable direct to the artist).
Sydney metropolitan delivery is free as part of our service. If you prefer to collect your portrait in person, please contact the artist direct to arrange a time. Outer Sydney, interstate and international delivery can be arranged by the artist — standard freight charges apply.
