DESCRIPTION: Rafferty's Resort is situated to the north of Sydney on the shores of beautiful Lake Macquarie, which is four times the size of Sydney Harbour. The area surrounding the resort was traditionally known as Galgabba Creek, which means a good place to rest. Nestled amongst the trees on a quiet bay of Cams Wharf, the 4 ½ star self catering resort offers visitors a choice of restaurants.
So why not see the sights of Sydney, Northern Beaches and have a day with a difference?
The helicopter will head down the Parramatta River giving spectacular views of Sydney Harbour and the Opera House, we then head out of the heads and fly north bound along a coastal route passing the Northern Beaches, Palm Beach and Terrigal before arriving at the resort. Once at the resort you have three restaurants to choose from:
- The Jetty Restaurant & Bar offers a creative menu which changes seasonally to take advantage of the region's freshest produce and seafood. Overlooking the Lake, guests are able to dine under the glass atrium in the warmer months or lounge by the fire during winter.
- The Bann Naam Thai Restaurant offers Authentic Thai Cuisine in a friendly relaxed atmosphere.
- If casual alfresco dining is your style then Rafferty's Poolside Café is for you! Opened seasonally and situated just metres form the lake's edge and a stone's throw from the resort pool, this is a perfect spot to sit back, soak up some sun and watch the world go by.
After your meal we return via the same route. A fantastic day out!
VENUE: Flight departs from the Bankstown Aerodrome, Sydney NSW.
DURATION: Approximate flight time is 2 hours.
VALID FOR: Up to 4 People (Maximum weight per person is 120kg)
RESTRICTIONS: Please note food and drinks are not included. Boookings essential. If conditions prevent flying, passengers will be contacted and advised prior to the flight time and a rescheduled flight will be arranged. If weather conditions are, in our opinion, less than ideal for flying but not prohibitive, passengers will be advised in advance and a postponement suggested. Continuance is at the discretion of passengers. All flight times are approximate and the actual flight time will vary based upon wind and air traffic conditions.
